The athan arrives late, or not at all

Newer Android phones keep a separate permission for apps that must ring at an exact time. It is not always switched on for you. If it is off, the athan can arrive late or not at all — even when notifications are on.

How to check

1. Open your phone’s Settings
2. Tap Apps, then find the app in the list
3. Tap Alarms & reminders
4. Switch Allow setting alarms and reminders on

Cannot find it? Some phones keep it under

1. Settings
2. Apps
3. Special app access
4. Alarms & reminders

iPhone and iPad have no such setting. If alerts are missing there, see notifications are off.

The name in your phone’s list may differ. Islamic Calendar & Prayer Time appears as Islamic. Muslim Baby Names Finder appears as Baby Names. Make Money Manager appears as Money.
